Favorite NYC Spots

Students shared their favorite local places to be reposted on the organization’s Instagram story, giving followers an easy opportunity to stay involved and increasing social media engagement overall.

We reposted students’ stories that tagged the chapter’s account and used the hashtag #WhyAMA, promoting the national and school organizations to over 10,000 followers across participants’ accounts and fostering connection to AMA through their favorite places being featured on the chapter’s story.

Tuesday

Postcards & Pitch Decks

Students prepared for Regional Conference by developing their personal pitches and connecting them to Career Services and receive feedback. Members personalized their own postcard as a guide to their pitch to prepare them for networking at Regional Conference.

Wednesday

Business Fashion

Students learned the importance of professional etiquette while deepening their understanding of appropriate business attire for a variety of professional events.

Thursday

Clothing Drive

We hosted a campus-wide clothing drive where students donate gently used business attire for Bottomless Closet, empowering women entering the workforce, and casual clothing for Goodwill to support local communities in need.

E-Board Reveal

We introduced the E-Board to our members and promote our club to students by having E-Board members share their “Why AMA?” and the reasons that they joined our club. This virtual event strengthened our connection with the community and showcased our club’s culture through sharing fun facts about ourselves and our experiences being a part of AMA.

Friday

Regional Conference

Nearly 150 students came together for a day full of professional workshops. From networking bingo, postcards to your future self to a brand pitching competition. Including three professional speaker panels featuring student interns, AMA alumni, and professionals from companies like Google, Amazon, Audible, Paramount, TodayTix, T-Mobile, and the New York Knicks.

Marketing Week

October 6-10, 2025

During the 2025-2026 AMA National Marketing Week (October 6-10), AMA at Pace University hosted six events, categorizing each day into Professional Development, Community/Social Impact, or Membership. The goal was to highlight how students can craft a distinct professional identity amid the fast-paced energy of New York, spotlight a local organization making an impact in our community, and bring members together through engaging experiences that celebrate connection and growth to showcase the value of an AMA membership at Pace University. Our chapter’s Marketing Week highlights our theme for the academic year, Postcards From NYC, through a series of events catered towards the diverse interests of our members while tying each activity back to the unique energy of New York City. Our chapter hosted a mix of on-campus and virtual events to create accessible opportunities and providing meaningful experiences for marketing students as they highlighted important topics in the field to master. Further, our events were valuable to students of every major, since the skills, knowledge, and feelings of community could be applied to disciplines outside of marketing. Our chapter prioritized Instagram as the main form of promoting Marketing Week to over 2,000 followers, which includes current chapter members and alumni. Each event was promoted on the platform and reposted by members and other student organizations on Instagram Stories to raise awareness and promote engagement. Moreover, each post was also shared by Pace University’s Lubin School of Business and Pace University’s Career Services department, aiding our content outreach to a wider audience. Two of the events, Favorite NYC Spots and E-Board Reveal, took place on the platform to make them accessible to all students and help them feel more connected to the organization. Additionally, we posted a video on TikTok and Instagram to promote our Regional Conference, which gained over 3,000 views between the platforms. Chapter members and Pace students were notified about all events through Settersync, our university’s event management platform. Two email blasts were sent out to over 640 recipients using Mailchimp, further promoting Marketing Week. All events and operations regarding Marketing Week were planned in August, before the beginning of the academic year, to ensure that each event was meticulously planned and executed successfully. Our E-Board utilized LinkedIn and their diverse networks of marketing professionals in New York City and faculty from Pace University to bring in a wide range of speakers. After Marketing Week had concluded, we saw that each event and the week overall had achieved great success.
